American Honda reported their May 2020 sales totals which reflected a national decrease of 16.2% with that decline due to the Covid-19 pandemic gripping the country. Most area dealers had double digit decreases with the new business rules that require appointments to enter dealers showrooms and the necessity of employees and customers wearing PPE wreaking havoc on auto sales throughout the region and the country. However, in Rhode Island, Saccucci Honda of Middletown had an extremely strong showing with sales just 5.8% below last May and down just three units overall. We talked with Michael Meyer, General Sales Manager. “We’re proud of our team here at Saccucci, everyone worked really hard to make sure our customers were taken care of, and we were able to provide them with the new Hondas they were looking for. Even with all of the difficulties of shorter hours, fewer employees and the logistical challenges of not being able to have a showroom full of customers, we still were able to finish the month nearly even with what was an excellent month of May last year.”
Because they treat their customers like family instead of treating them like a predator would.
This is a great dealership owned by a wonderful local family. We’ve bought five Hondas here. Very pleased. Congratulations, they deserve it.
Great place to buy a car. Very reputable dealership. Support local businesses, not the big chains. All the other area Honda dealers and dealers are owned by big groups from out of state.
Wonderful dealership. They treat their customers like family. They go the extra mile to make sure their customers have what they want and need. The Saccucci ladies who own and run the dealership have a one of a kind family owned and run business. They have always helped my family!
