The New England Institute of Technology (NEIT) has recently donated assorted Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) to Care New England to distribute to their facilities throughout Rhode Island. This equipment includes 340 surgical gowns, 300 surgical gloves and 200 face masks.
This will help with the amount of supplies needed for healthcare professionals who sacrifice their own safety to treat patients diagnosed with COVID-19. This donation shows the amount of kindness and compassion that exists within the community, during an unprecedented time in history.
The gowns, gloves, and masks are from the nursing and surgical technology programs. Since classes are out until May 4th, this gives the school an opportunity to donate the supplies that would have been used in the classroom.
Care New England organizations include Kent Hospital, Women and Infant’s Hospital, Butler Hospital, Care New England Wellness Center, The Providence Center and VNA of Care New England.
