Discover Rhode Island Announces the 2027 Discover Rhode Island Awards
Discover Rhode Island is pleased to introduce the 2027 Discover Rhode Island Awards, recognizing businesses and professionals whose work, reputation, service and contribution to their industries distinguish them within Rhode Island.
Recipients are selected by Discover Rhode Island following independent research and review. The awards are not purchased, sponsored or based on advertising participation, and there is no fee to be selected or to receive an award.
For 2027, Discover Rhode Island will recognize recipients across a series of industries and professional categories throughout the state. Selections may consider factors including professional reputation, longevity, customer experience, industry leadership, quality of work, community involvement and other relevant measures specific to each field.
More Than a Name on a List
Each recipient is recognized individually.
Whenever possible, the award includes a brief citation describing why the business or professional was selected — highlighting the history, accomplishments, craftsmanship, service or other qualities that contributed to the recognition.
The goal is to make each Discover Rhode Island Award a meaningful acknowledgment of the recipient rather than simply inclusion on a generic list.
Awards Are Presented in Person
2027 Discover Rhode Island Awards will be presented at invitation-only recipient receptions held throughout the year.
These events are designed as relaxed cocktail-style gatherings rather than traditional seated award ceremonies, giving recipients an opportunity to meet other recognized businesses and professionals, network and enjoy the host venue.
Because the awards are intended to be personally presented, physical awards are available only to recipients who attend their designated awards reception. Awards are not mailed or distributed electronically.
Recognition That Recipients Can Use
Businesses and professionals receiving a 2027 Discover Rhode Island Award are authorized to promote their recognition for a period of one year.
During that period, recipients may identify themselves as a 2027 Discover Rhode Island Award Recipient and may use the official award designation and approved award artwork in their own marketing, including:
- Websites
- Social media
- Email marketing
- Print advertising
- Digital advertising
- In-store or office signage
- Sales and promotional materials
- Public relations and media announcements
Recipients may share and advertise their award recognition without paying a licensing or promotional fee.
The designation applies specifically to the year for which the award was presented. Authorization to use the 2027 Discover Rhode Island Award designation continues for one year following the award and does not imply automatic selection in future years.
Independent Recognition
The Discover Rhode Island Awards are intended to recognize deserving Rhode Island businesses and professionals based on merit.
Businesses cannot purchase an award. Advertising with Discover Rhode Island, sponsoring an event or doing business with Discover Rhode Island does not guarantee selection.
Likewise, recipients are under no obligation to advertise, sponsor, purchase products or participate in any paid Discover Rhode Island program in order to receive their award.
That independence is important to the credibility of the recognition and to the businesses and professionals selected to receive it.
