Allie Lang and Benjamin Hastings, Married at the Bohlin in Newport RI

Allie and Ben tied the knot at the beautiful Bohlin, a tented venue right on the water in downtown Newport. The day started with heavy rains, even soaking me a few times running from my car to the two getting ready hotel rooms. Not to be detoured, spirits were high for both Ben and Allie. Heck, the guys were having such a good time I didn’t want to leave (and it had nothing to do with the twice baked Cape Cod chips they had me munching on!).

Once we traveled to the venue and anxiously awaited the start of the ceremony, I could tell the good vibes had been shared by the entire tent full of guests. At one point, it felt like cocktail hour had already begun! This feeling was quickly cut short but excitement as the wedding party entered the room and we officially began the ceremony. Allie was channeling all the ‘Jackie O’ vibes (yes I’ve now overdone it with the vibes talk, I know), and looked stunning walking down the isle! After a few tear jerking moments, we had ourselves a married couple!! Let the fun begin!

With a quick break in the weather, we were able to jump outside for some elegant portraits by the water, some of which might become long time favorites of mine. A couple of great speeches, touching parent dances and toasts, and we were into the party- and man this crowd knew how to get down! At one point I had to look up from my camera, realizing I had just taken a picture of the bride, groom and some wedding crashers!

All in all, 10 out of 10! Allie and Ben, you threw a wedding I won’t soon forget! Congratulations on your big day!!”
