On June 20th, Payton and Caleb celebrated their wedding at Newport Vineyards. It was a warm and breezy day—especially welcome after a string of rainy weekends leading up to it. The sunshine felt like a small miracle, setting the perfect tone for the joyful day ahead.
Payton got ready at the couple’s home, where the beauty team set up in the dining room and transformed the bride, bridesmaids, and mothers with laughter, stories, and a cozy, excited energy that filled the space. Meanwhile, the guys got ready at Homewood Suites by Hilton in Middletown, RI, sharing drinks, jokes, and some last-minute prep before heading to the venue.
Once everyone arrived at Newport Vineyards, Payton shared an emotional first look with her dad—there wasn’t a dry eye in sight. Moments later, she saw Caleb for the first time that day. While he wasn’t expected to cry, he couldn’t hold back a few tears as he took in the sight of his bride. After a deep breath and a hug, they pulled it together and moved right into wedding party and family photos. Getting these portraits done beforehand allowed them to enjoy every minute of cocktail hour with their guests—a decision they were so glad they made.
The ceremony took place in the open field of the vineyard, surrounded by 150 smiling guests. Payton’s walk down the aisle was full of emotion, and the ceremony, officiated by a family member, added such a personal and heartfelt touch to the moment. Immediately after the vows, everyone gathered for a group photo, where the photographer called out, “On the count of three, everyone say, ‘Payton’s pregnant!’” The surprise announcement was met with gasps, cheers, and happy tears—it was such a special way to share their next big adventure.
Before the reception kicked off, Payton and Caleb slipped away for a few golden hour portraits. The sun draped across the vineyard, casting a magical glow that made the moment feel even more surreal.
The reception was a full-on celebration—dancing, laughter, heartfelt toasts by siblings and Payton’s father, who ended his speech by pulling out a baby onesie and announcing that the Boston Red Sox were gaining a new little fan. It was an unforgettable moment that had the whole room cheering.
Later, during the cake cutting, Payton’s mom quickly removed the knife from the first cut—a sweet nod to an old superstition that says if the couple removes it themselves, they risk bad luck. With that, the party kept going. Guests grabbed glow sticks and danced the night away, celebrating not just a wedding, but the start of a beautiful new chapter for Payton, Caleb, and their growing family.
